Send a diagnostic log.
If something went wrong on a flight, the diagnostic log shows us what SkyTimer saw. It takes a minute to send.
Send the log
- On your iPhone or iPad, open SkyTimer and go to Settings › About SkyTimer.
- Tap Diagnostic Log.
- Tap the ••• menu, then Share… to email it or save it to Files. Or tap Copy All and paste it into an email.
- Send it to support@skytimer.app, and tell us which flight it was and what you expected to happen.
Send it soon after the flight. The log keeps recent activity, so newer flights push older ones out. Don’t tap Clear Log before sending.
Include your watch’s log
If the problem was on Apple Watch, the log needs the watch’s part too. Opening the Diagnostic Log on your iPhone asks the watch for it, and it arrives a little later.
- Open SkyTimer on the watch, then press the side button or Digital Crown to leave it.
- On your iPhone, close the Diagnostic Log and open it again.
- Check the watch section. If it says no log has been received yet, wait a minute and open it again.
What’s in it
- Recent SkyTimer activity: trip events, sync between iPhone and watch, GPS state, and when reminders and notifications were scheduled.
- Your aircraft: names, tail numbers, hours, and fuel setups.
- Your last saved trip: its airports, times, and fuel log.
- The log from your Apple Watch, if it’s arrived.
It doesn’t include your name, email, or GPS coordinates. You can read the whole log before you send it.
Send us a message
In SkyTimer, tap Questions or Ideas? at the top of Settings. Choose a topic, write your message, and tap Send Message. SkyTimer adds the app version, device, and iOS version for you. The form doesn’t attach the diagnostic log, so share that separately by email.
You can also use the contact form on this site.
Questions about the diagnostic log

Where is the diagnostic log in SkyTimer?
On iPhone or iPad, go to Settings › About SkyTimer › Diagnostic Log. Use the ••• menu to share or copy it.
Does the diagnostic log include my location?
It doesn’t include GPS coordinates. It does include airport codes from your trips, your aircraft names and tail numbers, and trip times.
Should I clear the log?
Only after you’ve sent it. Clearing it removes the history we need to find a problem.
