Common questions
More in each guide above, or send us a message.
What’s free, and what needs SkyTimer Plus?
The block and flight timers are free, with up to 10 saved trips and one aircraft. Plus adds fuel tracking and reminders, automatic takeoff and landing, Live Activities, editing and exporting trips, unlimited trips, and unlimited aircraft. See SkyTimer Plus for the full list.
Why didn’t SkyTimer log my takeoff or landing?
Automatic detection needs SkyTimer Plus, a stall speed for the aircraft, Location with Precise Location on, and a GPS signal. A Wi-Fi-only iPad has no GPS. The takeoff and landing guide goes through every check.
How do I restore SkyTimer Plus?
Open SkyTimer, go to Settings, tap the SkyTimer Plus card, and tap Restore at the bottom of the screen. Use the same Apple Account you subscribed with.
Are my flights backed up?
Yes, if you’re signed in to iCloud. Your aircraft and flights are kept in your iCloud account for everyone, with or without Plus, and come back when you install SkyTimer on a new device.
How do I cancel SkyTimer Plus?
In SkyTimer, open Settings and tap the SkyTimer Plus card at the top, then Manage Subscription. Or open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Your flights stay when you cancel.
Upgrading from SkyTimer 2: what carries over?
Your aircraft, trips, and Plus carry over. SkyTimer 3 asks you to review each older aircraft once before you fly it, because some new fuel-system features can’t be filled in for you.
Still need help?
Send us a message and tell us your aircraft type, your device, and what you expected to happen. If something went wrong on a flight, a diagnostic log helps us find it.
