Plus, iCloud, and new devices.
Get SkyTimer Plus back on a device, keep your aircraft and flights in iCloud, and move to a new iPhone without losing anything.
If Plus isn’t showing
SkyTimer checks your subscription with the App Store each time it opens, so Plus usually comes back on its own. If it doesn’t:
- Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account you subscribed with.
- In SkyTimer, open Settings and tap the SkyTimer Plus card at the top.
- Tap Restore at the bottom of the screen.
To check your subscription, go to Settings › About SkyTimer. It shows your Plus status, plan, and renewal date.
Plus on iPad and Apple Watch
One subscription covers your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. On iPad, sign in to the App Store with the same Apple Account and open SkyTimer. Apple Watch gets Plus from your iPhone, so open SkyTimer on your iPhone if the watch still shows PLUS where fuel should be.
SkyTimer Plus isn’t shared through Family Sharing.
iCloud sync
Your aircraft and flights are kept in your iCloud account and stay in step across your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. It’s included for everyone, with or without Plus.
You need to be signed in to iCloud on each device. To check, go to Settings › About SkyTimer and look at iCloud Sync under Your Data. It shows Available when it’s working.
Settings aren’t synced. Set up SkyTimer’s settings on each iPhone or iPad. Apple Watch gets its settings from your iPhone.
Keep iCloud on. iCloud is where SkyTimer keeps a copy of your aircraft and flights. If you’re not signed in to iCloud and you delete SkyTimer, they can’t come back. Export your trips to CSV if you want a copy of your own.
Move to a new device
- Sign in to iCloud and the App Store on the new device with the same Apple Account.
- Install SkyTimer and open it. It checks iCloud for your aircraft and flights.
- When they’re found, you’ll see Welcome back, with your aircraft, your flights, and whether Plus is active.
If your flights take a while to appear, keep SkyTimer open on Wi-Fi. iCloud can take a few minutes to bring everything down.
If your subscription ends
Everything you’ve logged stays. Your saved trips and aircraft aren’t deleted.
- The block and flight timers keep working.
- Fuel tracking, reminders, automatic takeoff and landing, Live Activities, editing trips, and exporting stop.
- You can keep logging until you have 10 saved trips. After that, new trips need Plus.
- The aircraft list shows one aircraft. The others come back when you subscribe again.
