New Meet SkyTimer 3

Support

Export to LogTen, FlightLoop, or CSV.

Send a trip to LogTen or FlightLoop when you land, or save your trips as a CSV file for a spreadsheet or another logbook. Exporting needs SkyTimer Plus.

Send a trip to LogTen

LogTen needs to be installed on the same iPhone or iPad.

  1. When you end a trip, tap Send to LogTen beside Done. Or open any saved trip, tap the ••• menu, and choose Send to LogTen.
  2. LogTen opens with the flight filled in. Check it and save it there.

SkyTimer marks the trip as sent, and the menu changes to Resend to LogTen. If you don’t see Send to LogTen, LogTen isn’t installed on this device.

If it says Couldn’t Send to LogTen

Missing its block timesOpen the trip, tap the ••• menu, then Edit, and add Time Out and Time In. Then send it again.
Couldn’t open LogTenCheck that LogTen is installed on this device, then try again.
Couldn’t put this trip togetherTry again. If it keeps happening, send us a diagnostic log.

FlightLoop shows the same messages, titled Couldn’t Send to FlightLoop.

Send a trip to FlightLoop

Open a saved trip, tap the ••• menu, and choose Send to FlightLoop. FlightLoop opens with the trip.

Export trips to CSV

  1. Go to the History tab.
  2. To export only some trips, tap the ••• menu, choose Select Trips, and pick them. Otherwise, SkyTimer exports the trips in the list, with any filter you’ve set.
  3. Tap the ••• menu, then Export Trips to CSV.
  4. Choose where to save the file in Files. It’s named FilteredTrips.csv.

Open the file in Numbers, Excel, or Google Sheets, or import it into another logbook.

Questions about exporting

Something else? Send us a message.

Do I need SkyTimer Plus to export?

Yes. Sending to LogTen or FlightLoop and exporting to CSV need SkyTimer Plus.

Can I send many trips to LogTen at once?

No. LogTen and FlightLoop take one trip at a time. To export many trips, use Export Trips to CSV.

Why does SkyTimer say Couldn’t Send to LogTen?

The trip is missing its block times, LogTen couldn’t be opened, or the trip couldn’t be put together. Add Time Out and Time In by editing the trip, check that LogTen is installed, and try again. If it keeps happening, send us a diagnostic log.

Are exported times in local time or Zulu?

UTC (Zulu), in both LogTen and the CSV file.

Can I export from Apple Watch?

No. Your trips sync to your iPhone and iPad through iCloud, so export from there.
